Preventative Maintenance

Spring and Fall or Summer and Winter, preventative maintenance ALWAYS begins with you, the homeowner. For your convenience, we offer full service maintenance contracts. We only ask that you replace your air filter on a regular basis. Most systems will have 19 - 23 items to inspect / test during seasonal preventative maintenance. Repairing worn / weak parts can prevent major repairs or replacements that may cost up to ten times as much!

Air Choice Is Here To Serve YOU

Spring or Summer (and) Fall or Winter, you will receive a visit for your Air Conditioner, and a visit for your Heater to perform a maintenance and safety inspection. During the inspection, we check the following:


  • Check Electrical connections
  • Check Safety controls
  • Check Thermostat
  • Check Fan blade and lubricate, as needed
  • Check Amp draw
  • Check Filters

In addition to the above, we check the following items for season-specific operation:

Air Conditioner / Heat Pump

  • Wash condenser coil
  • Check refrigerant levels
  • Test start/run capacitors
  • Check Relays
  • Check condensate drain lines

Heater / Furnace

  • Check exhaust flue pipe
  • Clean Burners as needed
  • Check Heat Exchanger for flame impingement 
  • Test for Carbon monoxide levels (very important)
  • Check for raw gas leaks at furnace
  • Clean Flame Sensor
  • Check Heating Elements
  • Check Defrost controls
  • Test emergency heat
